For those of you who like the Monsta, this is a high performance shortboard counterpart to that design. I’ve kept the rocker and bottom contours the same as that of the Monsta….so same speed, same positive flow…The outline, rail volume and deck foil is more “shortboardy, but with the wide point moved slightly forward & a bit fuller nose outline than a standard “needled out” perfect waves shortboard. The rails are less full than that of the Monsta; more pulled down, but boxy in shape.

You ride this board 1 – 2 inches shorter, about a 1/4 inch wider, & the same thickness as your “shortboard for perfect waves”.
A great all-around high performance shortboard that doesn’t require perfect waves to feel perfect under your feet.
  • FIN CONFIGURATION: thruster or five fin option to ride as tri or quad
  • WAVE PREFERENCES: A great all-around high performance shortboard that doesn’t require perfect waves to feel perfect under your feet
  • AVAILABLE TAIL CONFIGURATIONS: wide rounded squash, wide hip-squash, swallowtail, round/thumbtail
  • RECOMMENDED RIDER TYPES: Intermediate to advanced

A Word from the shaper:

Here’s my friend Andrew, blasting the lip on his backhand. As a grom, growing up, Andrew was one of the legends I looked up to. His smooth Tom Curren-esque style and raw Archie-like lip hacks inspired me. Here’s to all the core locals out there like Andrew; the type of guys that surf all day as long as there’s waves – a surfer through adn through.
